Adding a disclosure or disclaimer statement might be the right thing to do on your blog or site. You’ll stand out as professional and serious about what you do.
You can link your “about” and “disclaimer” pages to facilitate navigation and encouragement to read both. As soon as a reader lands on your page, he/she will get a good understanding of what you are all about.
This will further allow the reader to make the judgment call as to whether or not to subscribe to your newsletter or RSS feed. A reader that is fully informed and able to make a reasonable decision now will less likely unsubscribe from your news feed at a later time.
Moreover, letting your readers know that you only endorse products or programs you fully believe in, will most certainly increase your credibility and even your sales. Overall, people are sick of scams and get-rich-quick schemes on the Internet nowadays.
Therefore, be very choosy when you post reviews on your site. Losing the overall trust of your readers in return for a few cents from some is not worth the trade.
A forum is a place on the Internet where open discussions are facilitated and moderated. There are private forums as well as public ones, there are free ones and the ones that run on a monthly fee.
In any case, they all basically bring people who have similar interests to explore the past, present, and future with regard to various industries and businesses.
Forums are consequently popular for anyone who wants to share ideas, ask questions, or even simply make new business connections. Participating in forums by helping others find their way to an answer or guiding them with tips will not only make you look like an expert in your field, but also allow you to learn something new from other members.
There are forums for virtually anything you want. For instance, you might find forums for business owners, network marketers, technology savvies, bloggers, you name it, you get it.
The trick is not to overwhelm yourself, pick one or two you think you might enjoy within your niche. Then from time to time, see what their members are up to, maybe you can help someone or ask a question if you must. Becoming involved is just the beginning.
You’ll be able to create a profile with your name and social media links as well as your main website. As you become involved, little by ittle your links will be displayed in various threads and if you happen to be helpful, the curious will tend to pay you a visit.
What do you prefer some work but fun or no work but dull?
I go with some work but fun and apparently most people agree with me. Check out the below videos for proof:
Video #1: Piano Staircase
Let’s face it, when most of us come across the choice of either taking the stairs or the escalator, we usually tend to go with the escalator. Who needs the extra effort after a hard day at work?
However, if the stairs are a little bit more fun and maybe every time you take a step it sounds like a Piano, all of a sudden the fun factor sets in and the stairs become more attractive.
The experiment below clearly shows that you can get more people to use the stairs by making it more fun. After adding the Piano sound effect, 66% more people than normal chose the stairs over the escalator. Take a look:
Video #2: The World’s Deepest Bin
It annoys me when people throw trash onto the ground for no apparent reason. You see this everywhere you go, the cities, the suburbs, the malls, or even the car on the road. Some go even further and do it even when there is a bin next to them.
However, making the bins more fun by adding some sound effects motivates others to use them more often. In fact, in the video below you see people not only throwing in their own rubbish but also going around and picking up trash from others and dumping it into the bin. The fun bin managed to outperform the normal bin a small distance away by an extra 41kg of rubbish in only one day.
As it’s indicated in the videos “fun can obviously change behavior for the better.” Have you thought about making your work environment a bit more fun? Maybe your employees, business partners, and yourself would enjoy working a bit more. You can actually apply this “fun theory” to anything that requires some work or effort.
“In what products should I invest Mario?” Just yesterday I was asked this question by someone who’s trying to break into the network marketing world, my answer was simple: “invest in yourself”.
From what I’ve seen, in the network marketing industry so many people jump from one company to the next hoping they’ll get positioned well on top. But after all the hype is gone, they end up looking for the next big thing.
Hopping like grasshoppers is what many are really good at doing in the MLM/Direct Sales world. But few realize the importance of self-development and training. That’s the main key to making money in any industry.
Can you imagine a doctor, an accountant, and a lawyer without an education? Yes, let’s assume that somehow they have the degree but never went to college for it. Would you go to them for advice if you knew the truth? Do you think they’ll be successful? To answer my own question, I’ll have to say no, and I’m sure you agree with me.
The same applies to you if you really want to be successful in any home based business. Stop looking for that next opportunity and start investing in your own training. Ideally, unless you’ve been laid off or fired, you should keep your current job while you learn the skills necessary to build a business.
You can find plenty of free training by browsing the Internet. Many marketers and business owners including myself write helpful articles which could be found all over the Internet. You could also find helpful YouTube videos from various people that will help you to accomplish different online or offline marketing and business goals.
Purchase courses, books, or products if you have the funds. Remember investing time and money in your own training today will pay off with dividends tomorrow. The products and training you should seek will help you understand the industry you are trying to be a master in.
For a network marketing business, ensure you investigate the company thoroughly and do your homework as you might fall victim of a scam or the next pyramid scheme. Make sure, you like the product and that people would buy it by itself without the business opportunity attached to it. If the product does not stand alone, you should reconsider.
Usually, the network marketing industry requires an outgoing personality, someone who’s not afraid to pick up the phone and lead a team to replicate his/her success. You must become a master marketer in order to be able thrive in this competitive industry.
If you are planning to start another business besides network marketing, you must ensure that you are very familiar with what you’ll be doing. However, finding additional training as mentioned above and being able to learn about how to build a business should be your main priority in the beginning.
Get in the mindset of learning. If you join an opportunity that already offers training, take full advantage and don’t get left behind. Companies and opportunities come and go but what you learn stays within you. Finally remember that self-employment and entrepreneurship is not for everyone. If you have the slightest doubt about yourself, you should probably stay employed, there is nothing wrong with that.
A few years back I was an auditor for one of the Big 4 accounting firms. Needless to say, it was tough, but a true blessing when it came to learning. Subsequently, I moved on to a leader international accounting firm where I had the chance to work with smaller clients.
As an auditor, I was able to advise my clients on different issues whether they were control related or not. I worked in small and big teams, I interviewed top management and various employees in order to better understand their companies. I was also exposed to tax for individuals and corporations.
Public accounting overall helps you better understand how businesses work. You get to see things from inside-out, and really allows you to become an expert in your field. It improves and develops your communication and leadership skills. It pushes you to work under pressure and deliver quality results.
After 3 years in public accounting, I transitioned to private (non public accounting work), and to be honest, my public accounting background really helped me better understand and grasp the private concept. Working in private gave me the chance to actually be part of the accounting process in a more intimate way. But public accounting allowed me to better understand the private side.
When folks leave the public accounting world and are placed to do mundane jobs they are doomed to get bored and frustrated. “Why” you might be asking. This is due to the fact that public accountants are used to working hard with a variety of clients and situations on their plates. Taking the variety away and replacing their ability to audit bits and pieces of a balance sheet with cash reconciliations on a daily basis might not be ideal.
Therefore, if you are in public accounting and are thinking of transitioning to private, wait at least 3 or 4 years and ensure yourself that you could land a managerial type of job where your skills and leadership could be well used.
